Dear Işık Family,

We have witnessed many global changes in education as well as in many other areas due to the pandemic. Our school, which has helped shape the future of our country with its innovative, scientific and Kemalist education since 1885 by surviving many wars, migrations and pandemics in its history, has also been taking firm steps towards future by quickly adapting to the changes on its journey. During this challenging period of pandemic, our school has continued to “light” its students with faith and commitment and will continue to move on and develop in the same way with its ever-growing family no matter what the conditions are.

On our journey that we started with the motto of “first raising good citizens”, together with the responsibility we have been carrying for 139 years, we aim to raise individuals who never give up following Ataturk’s principals and revolutions, who are respectful for social values, tolerant towards different cultures, prone to scientific thinking, sensitive towards environment and life-long learners. Our aim is to reach our goals and raise qualified students who will be successful nationally and internationally in higher education.

In a global and rapidly changing world, we are happy and proud that you have chosen to walk with us in our journey that we started knowing that every students is a different individual. I would like to recall Ataturk’s saying, “Being a teacher is being a life-long learner”, and remind you that you are not alone in this long journey of learning..
