On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, we hosted Ms Selma Argon Ersoy, the granddaughter of the Turkish National Anthem Poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy, in our online interview as part of the “100th Anniversary of the Adoption of the Turkish National Anthem” events. Ms Ersoy gave a pleasant speech about Mehmet Akif Ersoy’s life, his struggle for life and his literary personality.

She also talked about Mehmet Akif Ersoy’s education, business life, his place in the Commitee of Union and Progress, his attitude during the War of Independence and his life in Egypt where he later migrated. We would like to thank Selma Argon Ersoy for this beautiful interview, whose literary value has increased with the poems of Mehmet Akif Ersoy.
