Before “April 2, World Autism Awareness Day”, Işık High School Music Class and Interact Club students visited Tohum Turkey Autism Early Diagnosis and Education Foundation and learned about autism. We had a fundrasing event in our school on Friday, April 1, 2022. It was stated that individuals with autism need more than awareness, that awareness is not enough, that we should truly accept autism and individuals with autism, that it is vital that children with autism are diagnosed at an early age and benefit from education programs specially developed for them. They informed the school community that we can contribute to the education of children with autism by donating to the Tohum Autism Foundation so that they can access educational opportunities, which is their only remedy, and in this sense, we can support them by purchasing the badge "Red Light for Autism Badge", which is a "Tohum Shop" product.
In the evening of this special day, Işık High School teachers and students attended the "Ece Göksu-CRR Jazz Orchestra Spring Concert" held at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall, wearing the "Red Light for Autism Badge" on their collars.
