Human Rights and Democracy Week
In the context of “Human Rights and Democracy Week” activities, Department of Social Sciences; Turkey in the 20th Century course organized a panel event with 11 IB Class E students under the theme of "Historical Development of Human Rights". The 11 IB-E class students presented to all 11th grade students at the panel as part of the “Peer Education Project” on Tuesday, December 10th. Our activity, which started with the history of the value given to women and children in society from the Middle Ages to the present, continued with the process of seeking rights of women and child workers after the Industrial Revolution. The theme of human rights in world history ended with a narrative emphasizing women's rights in Turkey and the value Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK gave to women and children.
