On Wednesday, May 22, 2024, as part of the 11th grade geography curriculum, we visited the İBB İSTAÇ Recycling and Compost Facility with 48 students. Our students were informed by the facility officer, Gökhan Arıcı, about the amount of waste generated daily in Istanbul, how much of this waste is brought to the facility for recycling and converted into economic benefits (such as electrical energy and compost), and the methods used for these processes. We extend our sincere thanks to İSTAÇ and the facility staff for their contributions to our students.
