On the second day of the "Career Talks" program organized by the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit, esteemed businessperson Hüseyin Cevdet Yılmaz introduced the program on "Business Administration" to our students. Sharing anecdotes about his own background in the first part of the program, Mr. Yılmaz examined the place of the business administration department in the banking sector he is in and the demands of the department in terms of developing technology in the sector. Stating that students should improve themselves in the field of software, computing and coding if they progress in the field of business administration, Mr. Yılmaz emphasized the need to be versatile as well as having expertise. Touching on how artificial intelligence and machine learning transform the sectors in the second part of his speech, Mr. Yılmaz compared the business department with the economics, econometrics and management information systems departments and shared information about their common points and their diverging aspects. In the last part of the program, he answered questions from our teachers and students. We thank him for his valuable participation.
