Hülya Şat, the editor of Altın Kitaplar Publishing, shared her experiences with plagiarism in the publishing industry with our students in “Academic Honesty Week”. Also being the editor of Dan Brown’s books, she talked about how Dan Brown’s ideas were plagiarised after which his works were translated and edited in a private place by an international team that Brown formed. Hülya Şat, who is a member of this private team, shared her experiences and ideas of plagiarism, self-confidence and freedom of thought with us. We thank her and all the participants.
