Earth Day Nature Conservation and Upcycling Workshops
With the contributions of 11 IB classes, IBDP CAS and Social Sciences departments and the participation of our school clubs, we conducted 7 different workshops to celebrate the existence of our unique world and what it offers us and to protect it together during Earth Day week on April 22.
The aim of the workshops is to protect nature, to create waste awareness, to support the zero waste campaign, to create awareness of responsible consumption by reducing waste, and to raise awareness through experience about reducing our harmful impact on the environment, global warming and climate change.
We held workshops on making cloth bags from old t-shirts, painting with natural paints, drawing interesting plants, bird feed from pinecones, bokashi compost, seed ball and planting in the workshops that emphasized the Sustainable Development Goals Climate Action/ Responsible Production and Consumption/ and Sustainable Cities and Communities.
Wishing for a greener and more livable world
