DR. YUSUF ZİYA EFE MATHEMATICS DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENT COMPETITION

Evaluations for the Dr. Yusuf Ziya EFE Mathematics Distinguished Achievement Award, established in 2009 to commemorate late Mathematics Teacher Dr. Yusuf Ziya Efe, who served at FMV Işık Schools between 1958 and 1969, educating students in the field of Mathematics and emphasizing the value of Mathematics in our schools, were conducted on November 23, 2023 at our Ayağaza campus.

Ezgi Yazar from FMV Erenköy Işık High School and Berat Sarıca from FMV Erenköy Işık Science High School represented their schools with distinction. We congratulate our students and teachers for their achievements.

KEMAL ÜÇYİĞİT CHEMISTRY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

"Kemal Üçyiğit Chemistry Achievement Award", which has been organized since 2014 to keep the memory of the late Chemistry Teacher Kemal ÜÇYİĞİT alive, found its owner on T 23rd November,2023.

After the evaluations of the jury members, Ispartakule Işık High School 12th grade student Nergis AKBABA won the first prize.

This award is supported by Bülent PULAK, a 1964 graduate of FMV Işık High School.

Nergis AKBABA, the winner of our traditional contest, will receive her award during the FMV Foundation Anniversary Celebrations on December 14th.

We would like to congratulate Alper CARBAŞ from Ayazağa Işık High School, Yavuz KARABULUT from Ayazağa Işık Science High School, Talya Ece SANCAKTAROĞLU from Erenköy Işık High School, Elif ŞAŞMAZ from Erenköy Işık Science High School, Berfin ANLI from Ispartakule Işık Science High School, and Eylül Leyla SARI from Nişantaşı Işık High School, who were selected as candidates from their respective schools and were recognized by the jury members for their achievements.

NECMETTIN BAĞCI PHYSICS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

The "Necmettin Bağcı Physics Achievement Award", named after Necmettin Bağcı, was presented on 23rd November,2023.

Bülent Pulak, a 1964 graduate of Işık High School, and his legal heirs have decided to give this award to the most successful student in physics among the senior students of Işık Schools for the 2019-2020 year in order to express their loyalty to him.

At the end of the evaluations of the jury members, Deniz KAVAK, a 12th grade student at Ispartakule Işık Science High School, won the first prize.

Deniz KAVAK, the winner of our traditional contest, will receive his award during the FMV Foundation Anniversary Celebrations on December 14th.

NURIYE GÜNEYI NATURAL SCIENCES ACHIEVEMENT AWARD COMPETITION

The Nuriye Güneyi Natural Sciences Award is given by Prof. Dr. Celâl Şengör, who studied at Işık Schools in 1966-69, to the most successful student selected in the field of natural sciences among 11th grade students on behalf of Nuriye Güneyi, who was a teacher at Işık High School between 1967-79, and who convinced him to become a geologist and pioneered him to become one of Turkey's leading scientists.

In this competition, which was organized for the fourth time this year, Ahmet Ozan SAVUR, an 11th grade student at Erenköy Işık Science High School, was awarded the prize after a written evaluation by the jury members.

Ahmet Ozan SAVUR, the winner of our traditional contest, will receive his award during the FMV Foundation Anniversary Celebrations on December 14th.

SACIT ÖNCEL BIOLOGY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

On 23rd November, 2023, Prof. Dr. Turan DURGUNOĞLU, a 1963 graduate of Işık High School, and his legal heirs organized the first "Sacit Öncel Biology Achievement Award" to commemorate and perpetuate the memory of Sacit Öncel, the late Biology Teacher, Işık High School Principal and Foundation Board Member who raised him and many other students.

As a result of the evaluations of the jury members, Zeynep ARSLAN, a 12th grade student at Ispartakule Işık High School, won the first prize, Nisanur ÇALIŞKAN, a 12th grade student at Ispartakule Işık Science High School, won the second prize, and Nil GÜVEN, a 12th grade student at Ayazağa Işık Science High School, won the third prize.

We congratulate Cansu GEMALMAZ from Ayazağa Işık High School, Damla YASAK from Erenköy Işık High School, Lal Nehir YAYCIOĞLU from Erenköy Işık Science High School and Nişantaşı Işık İpek Ebru YENER, who were selected as candidates from their own schools and were appreciated by the jury members for their success.
