Nuriye Güneyi Natural Sciences Award is given to the most successful grade 11 student in natural sciences. Nuriye Güneyi inspired Celal Şengör to be one of the most recognizable scientists and convinced him to be a geologist while working at Işık schools as a teacher between 1967-1979.

In the competition whıch was held the fourth time this year Elif Aslı Arslan from Ispartakule Işık Science High School got the highest score and deserved to get the award.
