As a part of the “Knowledge and Art” unit of our TOK course in IB Diploma Programme, art director Dr. Feride Çelik met with IB students on Wednesday, January 1. Students discussed the necessities of art, the factors that are important in its evaluation, the importance of the materials and techniques used, and how the value given to art has changed throughout history. As an expert, Dr. Feride Çelik gave students the opportunity to broaden their understanding about these discussion topics. Additionally, the students learned about contemporary Turkish art and well-known artists in our country and the world.
