Rehberlik Servisi tarafından 6. Sınıf öğrencilerimize yönelik ‘’Başarının Şifresi’’ adlı seminer gerçekleştirilmiştir. Seminerde öğrencilerimize verimli ders çalışma teknikleri, ders çalışırken dikkat edilmesi gerekenler, sınav stratejileri, zaman yönetimi, hedef belirleme konularında bilgi verilmiştir. Öğrenciler çalışma süresince notlarını alarak, etkin katılım göstermişlerdir. THE KEY OF SUCCESS The seminar named as The Key of the Success was held by the Guidance Service for 6 th grade students. In this seminar, our students were informed about efficient study techniques, things to pay attention while studying, strategies of exam, time management and goal setting. The students participated in the seminar actively.

SUZY'S CAFÉ DU LEVANT'A GEZİMİZ

3, 4, 5, 6, 7 ve 8. Sınıf öğrencilerimizle Bilişim Teknolojileri dersinde Bilge Kunduz Uluslararası Enformatik ve Bilgi-İşlemsel Düşünme Etkinliğine katıldık. Bilge Kunduz, bilgisayar bilimini ve bilgi işlemsel düşünmeyi her yaştan öğrenciye öğretmek amacı ile oluşturulmuş, bu konudaki farkındalıkları attırırken eğlendirmeyi de önemseyen uluslararası bir etkinliktir. Etkinlikteki, kısa sorulara Bilge Kunduz görevleri denmektedir. Bu görevleri çözebilmek için öğrenciler bildiklerini gözden geçirmeli, hesaplama yapmalı, karar vermeli, neden-sonuç ilişkisi kurmalı, analitik düşünme ve problem çözme gibi üst düzey düşünme becerilerini kullanmalıdır. Bilge Kunduz International Challenge on Informatics and Computational Thinking Event As FMV Işık Primary and Middle School, we attended Bilge Kunduz International Informatics and Computational Thinking Event with our 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th Grade students in Information Technologies course. Bilge Kunduz is an international challenge which aims to promote Informatics (or Computer Science, or Computing) and Computational Thinking especially among teachers and pupils of all ages. The challenges are made of a set of short questions called “Bilge Kunduz” tasks. These tasks can be answered without prior knowledge about Informatics, but are clearly related to Informatics concepts. To solve those tasks, pupils are required to think in and about information, discrete structures, computation, data processing and to use higher order thinking skills such as analytical thinking and problem solving.

 28 Ekim – 8 Kasım tarihleri arasında 7. ve 8. Sınıfların katılımı ile Cumhuriyet Haftası Basketbol Turnuvasını gerçekleştirdik. 7. Sınıflarımızdan oluşan takımımız Bora BELGE Ali Kıvanç ERDOĞAN Semih Kağan IŞIK İsmail Ege ÇINAR ve Emre BEKTAŞ Şampiyon olmuştur. Öğrencilerimizi kutluyor, başarılarının devamını diliyoruz.  8. Sınıflarımızdan oluşan takımımız Aksel Can BELLİ Mehmet TÜNLER Ege Onur DÜNDAR Kerem KULABER ve Emir Zübeyir LEK Şampiyon olmuştur. Öğrencilerimizi kutluyor, başarılarının devamını diliyoruz.

Türkçe-Sosyal Bilimler Bölümü eşliğinde ortaokul öğrencilerimiz tarafından hazırlanan “AYRAÇ” adlı sanat ve edebiyat dergimizin üçüncü sayısı okulumuzun internet sayfasında sanal olarak yayımlanmıştır. “AYRAÇ” dergisinin bu sayısında çocukları iyi tanıyan, yaşamına onların gözünden bakmayı başarmış, onlarla aynı çatıda olabilmek için büyük emek sarf etmiş yazarımız Aziz Nesin’e yer verdik. Keyifli okumalar dileriz.

On 12 November 2019, Grade 7 students participated in an intriguing and intellectually stimulating Balloon Debate. Each student chose one historical figure or pop culture icon, did some research and participated in a high-stakes scenario for all of us to follow, enjoy and learn. A balloon debate is a scenario in which the students, posing as cultural figures, are on a sinking hot air balloon, and the only way to keep the balloon from falling is by throwing someone out. Using high-level spoken English skills, each student who participated had to convince the jury and the audience why their chosen character should not be thrown off the balloon. The students used the character’s accomplishments, biographies and skills. The students impersonated people from all kinds of fields, time periods and skills; we learned all about the lives and thoughts of entertainers like Keanu Reeves and Walt Disney, inventors like Madam Curie and great minds like Steve Jobs, Pablo Picasso and Queen Victoria. We all learned a lot from this activity, and it shows just how clever and convincing our students can be while thinking on their feet in a high-stakes situation like a balloon debate!

Selected students from Grade 4 participated in a General Knowledge Competition. There were 4 teams, the Birds: Sayhan Ata Adil (4A), Ali Serdar Karayol (4B) and İmge Belgin (4C); the Mammals: Yağmur Öztat (4A), Kaan Pınar (4B) and Fırat Güney Aksoy (4C); the Reptiles: Rüzgar Kaptan(4A), Leyla Kurt, Nazli Eylül Şen (4B) and Burak Küçükel (4C); and the Fish: Ayşe Defne Yönsel (4A), Omar Kağan Bilbay (4B) and Selen Saygın (4C). All the students made a valiant effort to compete in all categories from Animals to Character Traits. The Birds were the overall winners but we are very proud of all the contestants and grateful to the audience for their enthusiastic support. Well done Grade 4!
