World Issues
5th grade World Issues Club students had a pizza party to celebrate all of the hard work during the first part of the year. After they filled up on pizza, they were given a STEAM challenge. They worked in groups of four and were given 3 pizza boxes, one pair of scissors, one stick of glue, three pieces of scrap paper, and a packet of markers to color and decorate their project. STEAM building and engineering projects are awesome for developing thinking skills and encouraging the ability to design and create. They had a great time working together and creating something from the recycled materials. The teams created a dinosaur head, a classic American house, and a tent for camping.
