INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL DAY BLURB
On the 5th of December, after many weeks of preparation, Grade 4 held International Festival Day in the sports hall. Students had been exploring the central idea ‘The history and geography of the society in which one lives shapes the future’ under the PYP transdisciplinary theme ‘Where We are in Place and Time’. They decided to share what they had learnt and researched about different countries, cultures and traditions around the world with Grade 3. In interclass groups they presented China, Japan, India, Mexico, Russia and the United States at different country stands. There was dancing, spice smell testing, chopstick challenge, origami, map puzzles, henna hand painting, food-doh, cowboy songs, sari dress up, blini, guacamole tasting, and much more! Congratulations to our brilliant Grade 4 student-teachers and many thanks to Grade 3 and all the teachers for their support and enthusiasm.
