'The Clap' Grade 5
On Thursday 13 December, Grade 5 students participated in an English improv theatre workshop. 'The Clap,' a foreign English-speaking improve group, came and performed for students with hilarious results. Using audience ideas, these experienced and well-trained actors acted out unscripted skits entirely on the spot. Often times, they brought the students up to the front to both assist and join them in performing scenes. The students were very excited to participate and perform some comedy, and for many of them, it was their first time ever seeing English theatre in a forum of this sort. In the end, we were all left laughing, and we even used our recently acquired knowledge of settings and genres. A huge thank you to the talented actors for the inspiring and memorable experience.
